Utah (1-0) opens conference play early this year as they welcome UNLV (1-0) to Rice-Eccles Stadium. This is the second year in a row that the Utes have opened conference play in the second week of the season. When the schedule was released back in April, Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham addressed the issue of playing a conference game that early in the year. “I’d rather not.
